Foreigners working in Vietnam are granted two types of work visas: short-term work visas and long-term work visas.

• A short-term visa is a type of visa with a maximum duration of 3 months and is granted to foreign experts, managers, and technical workers entering Vietnam to work with businesses and organizations in Vietnam. DN1, DN2.

Note: In case the work permit is not valid for 1 year, the duration of the visa for foreigners will be equal to the duration of the work permit (Work Permit).

Note: For foreigners who are Chinese and Taiwanese, they are required to provide an additional 3cmx4cm photo to be granted a separate visa.
