Business Environment – Prohibited investment sectors in Vietnam

Investments in the following areas are prohibited:

a) Purchase and sale of narcotics specified in Appendix I to the Investment Law;

b) Trading in chemicals and minerals specified in Appendix II of the Investment Law;

c) Trade in specimens of wild fauna and flora specified in Appendix I  of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora; specimens of rare and precious wild fauna and flora species belonging to Group I, Appendix III of the Investment Law;

d) Prostitution;

e) Human trafficking; trade in human tissues and organs;

f) Business related to human cloning.
